Installed at the base of the spine, a pain inhibitor enhancement allows its recipient to "shut off" and ignore pain for a brief period of time.

**Benefit:** When a character with a pain inhibitor is reduced to negative hit points (from -1 to -9 hit points), he does not fall unconscious. Instead, he is treated as though he has been disabled. He will still die when he reaches -10 hit points if he does not stabilize.

**Type:** Internal.
