====== Playing a Mindwalker ====== **Storyteller House Rule** ===== Overview ===== There exist people gifted with extraordinary abilities: [[mindwalkers]]. They have visions or a sense of what others are thinking. They can influence the minds of those around them or even affect the physical world with their thoughts. Still, a few who possess such gifts conceal them, out of concern that others will fear or misunderstand them. They can become masters of their fate, or else risk becoming the pawns of those who seek to harness and control their powers for their own purposes. Mindwalkers have innate mental powers which can be developed through training and study. Only their talent, their training, and their stamina limit Mindwalkers, since using mental abilities can be draining. ==== So you want to play a mindwalker? ==== If you want to have the potential for unlimited psionic power, the [[Psionic Ability (Feat)|Psionic Ability]] feat is one you will want to take at character generation. This is the prerequisite for almost every other psionic feat. It is an "enabler" for the other psionic feats. If you want to have access to a single psionic talent, the [[Wild Talent (Feat)|Wild Talent]] feat is the one you will want to take at character generation. It allows you to substitute Wild Talent in place of the [[Psionic Ability (Feat)|Psionic Ability]] feat and one other [[psionic feats|psionic feat]] as the prerequisite for learning one [[Psionic Skills|mental power]].
