-SILENT SUIT (PL 7) +  * [[POWERED ARMOR]]
-The silent suit uses cutting-edge sonic damp-ening technology to increase the stealth of the user. Silent suits look like form-fitting bod-ysuits with padding on the shoulders, elbows and knees. Sonic dampening field generators are built into the suit, minimizing the noise made by movement. A character wearing a silent suit gains a +10 equipment bonus to all Move Silently checks. +  * [[SHIELDS]]
-CONCEALABLE VEST (PL 5) +  * [[Armor Gadgets]]
-This garment combines good protection with the comfort and lightness to be worn all day long under normal clothing. While it may go unnoticed at a glance, it is usually visible to anyone looking closely for it, granting a +4 bonus to Spot checks to notice the armor. +
-MEDIUM COMBAT ARMOR (PL 7) +
-Designed for heavy warfare in dangerous sit-uations, medium combat armor covers the user almost head to toe in armor plating. Me-dium combat armor comes with a helmet that fits snugly on the head but does not in-terfere with the wearer’s field of vision. +
-CHAINMAIL SHIRT (PL2) +
-This medieval-era era armor is a long shirt of interwoven metal rings, with a layer of pad-ding underneath. It’s heavy, making it un-comfortable to wear for long periods of time. +
-LIGHT-DUTY VEST (PL 5) +
-A lightweight tactical vest designed for ex-tended use, this armor sacrifices a degree of protection for a modicum of comfort– at least compared to other tactical body armors. +
-TACTICAL VEST (PL 5) +
-This vest provides full torso protection but is unwieldy and uncomfortable compared to other medium armors. +
-[[HEAVY ARMOR]] +
-LAND WARRIOR ARMOR (PL 5) +
-The Land Warrior combat system was a ma-jor Information Age step in the ongoing ef-fort to increase the efficiency of the individual soldier. The primary benefits of Land Warrior armor are found in its communications and sensor gear; each Land Warrior armor has a built-in computer that is capable of sending and receiving text and image transmissions (via a display built into the armor), including images captured from the scope of a linked OICW or TacMil sniper rifle. Additionally, the display can be linked to the scopes on those weapons to provide real-time representations of what the scope can see, allowing the wearer to fire around corners with ease. +
-In addition to the communications and data equipment, the armor functions as standard infantry battle armor complete with bullet-resistant plating and Kevlar protective gear. The armor allows for instantaneous +
-transmission of coordinates and targeting information, allowing teams of Land Warrior-capable soldiers to communicate and coordi-nate with ease. +
-SPACE SUIT (PL 5) +
-The standard space suit used by NASA and other PL 5 space programs is a completely enclosed environment suit capable of sustain-ing life in extremes of temperature and lack of breathable air. The suit is large and bulky, composed of a thick body suit and helmet with a transparent mask, all parts of which are capable of deflecting micro-meteors and other space=borne projectiles. Inside the suit, internal tanks and filters maintain tempera-ture and pressure. Additionally, a communi-cations system not only allows communica-tion to nearby space craft but also allows in-ternal sensors to monitor biological functions that can be observed from mission control. The space suit is poor combat armor, but al-lows for movement and action in space. +
-SPECIAL RESPONSE VEST (PL 5) +
-Built like a tactical vest, but incorporating groin and neck protection as well as a ceram-ic plate over the chest, this armor provides additional protection in battle against heavily armored opponents. +
-PLATE MAIL (PL 2) +
-This medieval-era armor consists of metal plates that cover the entire body. It’s heavy and cumbersome compared to most modern armor, but it does provide a great deal of pro-tection. +
-FORCED ENTRY UNIT (PL 5) +
-One of the best of Information Age armors, this garment consists of a heavy jacket with ceramic plates over the chest and back, neck and groin guards, arm protection, and a hel-met. Heavy and cumbersome, this armor is generally only donned right before heading into a dangerous assault. +
-CERAMETAL ARMOR (PL 7) +
-The pinnacle of heavy, unpowered armor, cerametal technology combines lightweight ceramic weaves with more standard armor materials. The cerametal plates cover most of the body and include a helmet. +
-[[POWERED ARMOR]] +
-ENERGY ARMOR (PL 6) +
-Energy armor is one of the most basic forms of powered armor available. It possesses a basic power supply and an integrated com-puter capable of providing a wide variety of data to the user via the built-in heads-up dis-play (HUD). Energy armor also has several integrated servos and motors that increase the user’s freedom of movement, making en-ergy armor a popular choice among explor-ers and adventurers. Additionally, many tink-ers and craftsmen prefer energy armor as a base model to receive modifications, as it pro-vides a solid basis for modification. +
-Energy armor provides the following benefits (in addition to its armor value): +
-+4 bonus to Dexterity +
-Integrated computer +
-HUD +
-Radio communicator +
-POWERED SCOUT ARMOR (PL 7) +
-A favorite among deep space explorers, pow-ered scout armor is a combination atmos-pheric and interstellar exploration suit capa-ble of functioning in almost any environ-ment. Powered scout armor assists in the ex-ploration, mapping, and evaluation of new worlds and locales, and some military organi-zations use it for their advance recon forces. +
-Powered scout armor provides the fol-lowing benefits (in addition to its armor val-ue): +
-Environmental seal +
-Sensors: chemicomp, geocomp, Gal-Pos device +
-Computer with HUD +
-Jetpack +
-Jump jets +
-Radiation shield +
-Universal Communicator +
-GADGET SUIT (PL 7) +
-Seizing on the popularity of the energy armor in the previous Progress Level, the manufac-turers of the gadget suit sought to create a suit of powered armor capable of accepting and integrating gadgets right from the start. The gadget suit typically comes with almost nothing installed save for a basic power sup-ply and the connections to hook any pow-ered equipment into the armor. Most manu-facturers sell basic gadget suit, though many craftsmen prefer to purchase the base model and add all their own gadgets. (The purchas-er of a gadget suit may choose Wealth +5 worth of gadgets at the time of purchase.) +
-PATROL SUIT (PL 6) +
-A favorite among law-enforcement and mili-tary organizations, the patrol suit makes use of cutting edge sensor and communications technologies to coordinate patrol teams and provide real-time information access to alerts issued by headquarters. Patrol suits also typi-cally include capture and containment gear, and some agencies actually provide patrol suits to every member of their force in case a situation arises where emergency patrols are required. +
-Patrol suits provide the following ben-efits (in addition to their armor value): +
-Speed Booster +
-Jet Pack +
-Computer with HUD +
-Sensors: armacomp, democomp, mo-tion sensor, sensorlink +
-Universal communicator +
-PERSONAL ALL-TERRAIN (PAT) ARMOR (PL 7) +
-Though heavy and slow, the PAT dominates urban battlefields in a way that tanks and APCs never could. Consisting of durable plat-ing, an onboard computer, heads-up display. Exoskeletal strength assist, and battery array, the PAT not only protects its wearer from most small-arms fire, but enables the wearer to wield heavy weapons without penalty and provides computer targeting. +
-The PAT Series 1 armor suit provides the following benefits (in addition to its ar-mor protection): +
-+2 Strength +
-+1 equipment bonus on attack rolls +
-+1 equipment bonus on Computer Use checks +
-HUD +
-Radio Communicator +
-SPACE COMBAT ARMOR (PL 7) +
-Space combat armor consists of heavy body armor with an environmental seal and built-in communications gear. Additionally, space combat armor boasts a jetpack specifically designed to function in space, allowing the wearer to maneuver in zero-g conditions. Space combat armor can be difficult and un-wieldy, but makes even an individual soldier a threat in ship-to-ship combat. +
-URBAN ASSAULT ARMOR (PL 7) +
-Used by law-enforcement and military units, urban assault combat armor helps prepare the user for combat within cities, space sta-tions, and other highly developed environ-ments. Urban assault combat armor provides protection from unruly mobs, allowing a sin-gle character to fend off hundreds of rioters or criminals. Additionally, when used by squads, urban assault combat armor can ena-ble a handful of soldiers to quell an uprising of hundreds or even thousands of people at a time. +
-Urban assault combat armor provides the following benefits (in addition to its ar-mor value): +
-Environmental seal +
-HUD with ammunition tracker and sensor link +
-Sensors: armacomp, democomp +
-Jump Jets +
-Integrated Weapons: gravity snare, laser pistol, stun grenade mini-grenade launcher, tear gas launcher +
-Universal communicator +
-BODY TANK (PL 7) +
-The invention of small, sturdy, powerful ser-vos makes the “Body Tank” powered armor possible. Most of the armor consist of neu-tronite alloy plates, with flexible carbon fibers at the joints. The Body tank is exactly what its name implies—a heavy, full suit of armor that turns a single soldier into a mobile fortress. +
-Despite its bulkiness, the body tank’s servos and precision crafting allow surprising mobility. The armor’s great weight is support-ed by its own servos and gyros, so the armor and all of its integrated equipment do not count against the wearer’s carrying capacity at all. The wearer can still use his hands, and is able to wield weapons up to two sizes larg-er than his own size category, including heavy weapons, without penalty. +
-Like OICW armor, the body tank is de-signed to link to the wearer’s weapons and other gear, and to other soldiers in the field, headquarters, even ships in orbit. It is not un-common for environmental seals, radiation shielding, or additional weapons to be added to body tanks’ integrated equipment. +
-In addition to its significant armor val-ue, the body tank grants the following bene-fits to its wearer: +
-+2 Strength +
-Integrated Equipment: Trauma Pack II. 2 packs, 1 automatically triggered when wearer takes 5 or more points of damage. +
-Sensors: motion sensor, Darkvision 90’, Low-light Vision, rangefinding laser scope, sensorlink, GalPos device. +
-Computer with HUD and ammunition tracker. +
-Unicom, nanobeacon, and laser trans-ceiver. +
-Integrated Weapon: Bantam launcher. +
-[[SHIELDS]] +
-BUCKLER (PL 2) +
-A character straps this undersized shield to the forearm, allowing her to wear it and still use the hand. The wearer can use a bow or longarm without penalty. Bucklers also allow the wearer to use off hand or two-handed melee weapons with a –1 penalty on attacks rolls. When using a weapon in the offhand, the wearer does not gain the buckler’s bonus to Defense. Bucklers do not offer protection against ranged attacks. +
-LIGHT SHIELD (PL 1) +
-Made of virtually any material, light shields offer only limited protection. +
-STUN SHIELD (PL 6) +
-Stun shields were developed as a nonlethal crowd control measure: a shield that protects the wearer and temporarily incapacitates at-tackers. In addition to the protection the shield offers, it emits a pulse of stunning ener-gy when struck by an unarmed attacker. The attacker must succeed on a DC 13 Fortitude save or be stunned for 1d4 rounds. +
-FORCE BUCKLER (PL 7) +
-A special piece of armor that harkens back to medieval times, the force buckler is a magnet-ic field that forms in the shape of a circle, pro-jected from a single gauntlet. Acting like a buckler of old, the force buckler allows the wearer to shield herself from incoming at-tacks and provide herself with a small amount of extra defense in the face of an at-tacker. The force buckler provides a shield bonus to Defense, which stacks with any equipment bonus from armor. Additionally, the wielder need not have a free hand to use the buckler, since it is projected directly from the wrist gauntlet. Bucklers do not offer pro-tection against ranged attacks. +
-HEAVY SHIELD (PL 2) +
-Heavy shields are made of metal or a similar durable material, and are frequently decorated with a crest or symbol that identifies the user, his family, clan, or organization. +
-RIOT SHIELD (PL 5) +
-Made of durable, transparent plastics and of-ten reinforced by a metal frame, riot shields are large and unwieldy but offer significant protection, including providing one-half Cov-er in the hands of a character with the Shield Proficiency feat.+
