Self-Repair Unit (Cyberware)

SELF-REPAIR UNIT (PL 7)

A cybernetic self-repair unit is an internal module that includes a supply of raw material and a horde of nanites programmed to repair the recipient’s cyberware when activated by her NIJack system.

Benefit: When any of the recipient’s cybernetic systems become damaged or disabled, her NIJack commands the nanites to repair it, turning the raw material in the unit into tools and parts as needed. The unit functions without the need for any conscious control by the recipient, making Repair checks with a +10 bonus. The self-repair unit is able to conduct repairs much more quickly than an external technician, and makes checks in one step less time than normal (days become hours become minutes become rounds become seconds).

The raw material in the unit is depleted after repairing 20 hit points worth of damage, or after being activated 5 times, whichever comes first. Replacing the raw material is a simple matter that takes five minutes and a DC 8 Wealth check.
