Fist of Gau-Ko (Prestige Class)

The Fists of Gau-Ko are members of martial artists devoted to mastering their own physical and mental development while protecting Mindwalkers and other psionic creatures from those who would harm them or exploit their powers for evil ends. They believe that mind-walking abilities should be fostered in all who possess them, and that the knowledge to be gained through the use and study of mind-walking abilities can lead to ultimate enlightenment. The Order of Gau-Ko are monks who guard and maintain monasteries devoted to discovering, promoting and protecting this knowledge. Individual monks often go on quests to seek out particular teachings or masters, to protect or avenge psionic creatures, or to seek personal mastery through travel and experience.

REQUIREMENTS

In order to become a Fist of Gau-Ko, a character must fulfill the following criteria.

Base Attack Bonus: +5

Skills: Concentration 9 ranks, Knowledge (Life Sciences) 9 ranks, Knowledge (Humanities) 6 ranks

Feats: Combat Martial Arts, Defensive Martial Arts, Psionic Ability

Fists of Gau-Ko gain 1d6 vitality points at each level. The character’s Constitution modifier applies.

ACTION POINTS

Fists of Gau-Ko gain a number of action points at each level equal to 7 + ½ character level.

The following features pertain to the Fist of Gau-Ko prestige class.

Psionic Development

Much of the Fist’s time and energy goes into the exploration of her own psionic potential.

Physical Development

Whatever time and energy the monks does not expend on mastering their minds, they spend on physical development. Their primary path to physical development is through the martial arts. The Fist of Gau-Ko is able to make more unarmed attacks in a round than would seem possible. When using the full attack action and using only unarmed attacks in a round, the Fist makes one attack for each +3 points of base attack bonus, instead of the standard +5. Thus, a Fist with a base attack bonus of +10 would get 4 unarmed attacks when making a full attack (+10/+7/+4/+1). She also inflicts additional damage with each unarmed strike, as shown on the chart. Due to their high level of physical fitness, Fists of Gau-Ko also learn to move more quickly than normal for their species as they advance in levels, as shown on the Development chart. This movement speed bonus applies to one mode of movement, chosen by the Fist.

Bonus Feats
