Salvager (Advanced Class)

In the vastness of space, on the abandoned battlefields of GW2, and across the forgotten places of every world that has ever been settled, treasure awaits. Sure, to most people, it might look like junk, but the Scavenger knows how to find the good stuff. She makes her living by finding the valuable components, parts, and devices that others have left behind. Select this advanced class if you want to be the resourceful scavenger who hunts the galaxy for what others discard, fixes it up, and makes it into money. The fastest path into this advanced class is from the Smart hero basic class, by other routes are possible.

PREREQUISITES

In order to become a Salvager, a character must meet the following criteria.

Skills: Disable Device (Skill) 6 ranks, Knowledge (technology) 6 ranks, , Repair (Skill) 6 ranks, Search (Skill) 6 ranks.

Feat: Salvage

HIT DIE

The Salvager gains 1d6 hit points per level. The character’s Constitution modifier applies. ACTION POINTS

The Salvager gains a number of action points equal to 6 + half her level each time she at-tains a new level in this class.

CLASS SKILLS

The Salvager’s class skills (and the key ability for each), are as follows.

Aircraft Operation, Alertness, Alien Weapons Proficiency, Black Marketeer, Build-er, Cautious, Deceptive, Endurance, Exotic Firearms Proficiency, Expert Scrounger, Gear-head, Great Fortitude, Guide, Lightning Re-flexes, Low Profile, Mecha Operation, Meticu-lous, Personal Firearms Proficiency, Renown, Spacer, Starship Operation, Surface Vehicle Operation, Survival, Thrifty Crafter, Tinkerer, Trustworthy, Well-Equipped, Windfall, Zero-G Training.

Treasure from Trash

At 7th level, a Salvager may spend an action point before making a Repair check to jury-rig damaged machinery. If she succeeds at the check, the repairs are permanent and the item can be used normally.

Master Scavenger

CLASS FEATURES

The following features pertain to the Salvager advanced class.

Shrewd Bargainer

A Salvager is skilled at finding the right buyer for what she’s selling and negotiating for the best price. She gains the Haggle feat as a bo-nus feat, even if she does not meet the pre-requisite, and gains a +2 competence bonus to her Bluff or Diplomacy checks made to ne-gotiate for a better price.

Mister Fix-it

A salvager gains a +1 competence bonus on Repair checks made to jury-rig repairs of any sort (see the Repair skill description).

This ability increases to +2 at 4th level, +3 at 7th level, and +4 at 10th level.

Scavenger

At 2nd level, the Salvager gains a bonus equal to half her Salvager level to all Search checks made to find useable salvage.

Mishap Sense

Junkyards and derelict structures and vessels are dangerous places. By 2nd level, the sal-vager develops a kind of intuitive sense that warns her of danger from potential mishaps. She gains a +1 1 bonus to Reflex saves made to avoid mishaps while exploring unsafe plac-es. This bonus increases by 1 every three lev-els hereafter.
